Which truck scale to choose? What length of scale will be appropriate for me?

When planning to buy a new electronic truck scale, we need to consider which type of truck scale we would like to have on our premises. There are three standard lengths of weighing platforms:

8 meters;

14 meters;

18 meters.

When choosing, it is worth taking into account various factors such as:

space on the premises;

type of vehicles to be weighed;

weighing range.

For short vehicles such as a hook-lift truck or a single-axle truck, a scale with a length of 8 meters and a standard weighing range of up to 30 tons is sufficient.

For medium-sized sets such as a tractor unit with a trailer, the length of the platform should be 14 meters, and the weighing range should be 50-60 tons.

For long sets such as an agricultural tractor with two trailers, the length of the platform should be 18 meters, and the weighing range should be 50-60 tons.
